イベントについて
Our first Bhangra Workshops was a blast! Come to the second (and the last in this year) Bhangra Dance Party with Ravi Dhayal!
Ravie is a PhD student in Prague, Czech Republic, doing laboratory work at KEK, Tsukuba. Back in Prague, he is teaching Bhangra dance, one of the traditional forms of dance from Northern India. We are lucky to have him at YODA Studio for an exclusive workshop.
(You can have a look at what Bhangra looks like on our Instagram here and here!)
Bhangra is a lively dance that originates in the Punjab region of India. It follows the beat of the dhol, or the Indian drum. It is a bouncy style that includes many high arm and leg lifts. Not only is Bhangra a fantastic form of dance, but it is also a great workout for the body!
We will start by learning basic steps and movements. Then, we will try more advanced moves to add more variety to our Bhangra dance style.
What to bring:
- Face towel
- Water
- Pair of indoor sneakers (dancing barefoot is okay, too!)
- Comfortable clothing
All ages are welcome, join with your family and friends!
