Halloween Ghost Wall Hanging Workshop

Perfect for kids ages 6 and up (with some assistance from their parents), this creative event will help your little ones make their very own ghostly decorations to hang on the wall.

We'll be crafting cute (or spooky!) ghost hangings using metal wire, string, scissors, glue, and paper, perfect for adding that extra Halloween spirit to your home. Kids will shape their wire into ghostly forms, decorate with strings, and finish with paper eyes and a mouth!

Workshop Description

In this hands-on workshop, kids will follow simple steps to create their own hanging ghost decorations. Here’s how we’ll do it:

Step 1: Shape the Metal Wire

Kids will start by shaping the metal wire to form the outline of their ghost. This will serve as the base for their spooky creation.

Step 2: Cut the String

Participants will cut strings to create the fringe of the ghost, adjusting the length based on the size of their ghost frame.

Step 3: Attach the String with Knots

We’ll use a simple knotting technique to attach the strings, creating a flowing ghostly effect. Kids will fill the head and body with string to create the ghost's form.

Step 4: Add Ghostly Details

Using paper and glue, kids will cut out and attach eyes and a mouth to bring their ghost to life. Creativity is encouraged here – they can make their ghost look as friendly or as spooky as they like!

Step 5: Trim the Fringe

The final step involves trimming the bottom fringe of the ghost to give it a neat, ghostly appearance.

Step 6: Hang the Ghost

Once the ghost is finished, kids can add a string to hang it proudly on their walls.
