For us, YODA studio's mission is crystal clear: we hold unique classes to make people feel fulfilled, united and happy. Don't get me wrong. More often than not, the word "unique" does not mean what it should. But in the case of YODA, it might be an appropriate term. The uniqueness is not only due to our classes being held in English (which, in my experience, is already quite an extraordinary thing). Our yoga classes are a very special blend of various styles, and our dance classes propose contemporary, improvisation, high heels, kathak and Bollywood, none of which are being taught to the general public in the surrounding area.
Anyway, back to the topic. While we distinctly see what YODA is about, this might not be the case for the outside world. When we say "Join our fusion yoga classes" or "Come to the improvisation lesson", it is natural for people to get puzzled. And in the modern epoch being puzzled often means: scroll and forget.
For a few months, we felt the need to make our invitations more visual. And a couple of weeks ago Zhenya M. wrote on our team chat: "We are meeting on September, 3 to film the content for the studio". And nobody wants to argue with Zhenya M. – somehow she just knows exactly what should be done.
Fast forward, to September, 3, 8:55 AM. Zhenya M. and I are at the studio. Within five minutes, Zhenya creates a wonderful inspiring messy atmosphere, carrying things around and taking out all the necessary equipment. Pretty soon Zhenya G. arrives and we get to business.
Long story short, we left the studio exhausted six hours later. Zhenya M. carried precious gigabytes of videos home. Many of them already turned into wonderful stories and reels that our followers watch every morning, while many remain uncovered.
There is still a lot of work to be done, but we are one step closer to showing what YODA truly is. Stay tuned!
