Today we held our very first workshop at YODA Studio. It was dedicated to perimenopause – the event happening in every woman's life.
It was lovely to welcome people, to see them getting comfortable. To see women smiling and hugging, cheering up each other, and sharing their personal stories and concerns. The room was full of tweeting and laughter. It was such a joy for me to witness it because this is precisely what YODA is conceived for. We created the studio intending to unite people and enrich their experiences.
Sarah was splendid. The contents of her workshop were accessible, engaging, and sometimes even surprising. For example, I had no idea strength training could alleviate the perimenopause symptoms!
Then, exercises followed, and the proposed set of practices was just as intense as the lecture promised. Ladies did some light cardio, squats and pushups, followed by stretching and relaxation. The takeaway is that complete training is very important for female health, and it relates to any stage of a woman's life (and it is never too early to start!).
I warmly thank all the participants and Sarah for our wonderful time together. I hope everyone will continue to work out, eat well, take care of their sleeping routine, and ultimately pass the challenging perimenopause phase without too much discomfort.
